Message from Mary Morgan
Member, Parks and Recreation Council, for Wilton Area 4-B

It is that time of year to think about our community Winter Festival!  The date is set for December 6, 2014.

We will need your assistance in mobilizing our participants for our community event. We hope to have more participants than last year.

We are holding the Parade event again and if you are interested in participating in our Parade use this entry form.  You can fill out the form and return either by mail or scan and email the form back to Mary Morgan at

The deadline to enter the Parade has been extended! Any questions what so ever about the Parade can be forwarded to Lynn at

A Special Note to our Schools and Organizations

This is a great time for children to get their COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS accomplished or SPECIAL CLASS OR SCHOOL PROJECTS done. We encourage you to share this information with your students and groups. They can be in the Parade or have Vendor Booths showing their “shop projects” and even sell them if they want.

Crafts Booths
Last year we filled up quickly but we have reorganized where they will be situated this year, at the Fire House. All Vendors will be on the concrete in front of the building. As you have probably noticed the Fire Department did landscape the lawn area and it looks great for the Festival. Soooo get your Vendor applications in early this year, they can also be found on the website. John Robinson is in charge of the Vendors this year and he and Lorraine are taking phone calls and e-mails for the Booths. His e-mail is and the telephone number is 916-687-8896. Please contact them when you have decided on your booth; remember it has to be about the Holidays or the Winter Season

The Fireman’s Association will be doing the food this year! They will be putting together a great luncheon. Nancy Fox has volunteered to be in charge of collecting the cookies with her “cookie munchkins” and she will need her friends to help her out. These ladies of Wilton have done an enormous job for our Festival in the past, and we are very thankful for their Holiday Spirit.

Santa Claus is Coming and so is Mrs. Santa Claus!
There will be a special area for the children to see both of them and have their picture taken as well. Parents please bring your own cameras. There will be more time for the children to see Santa this year too. Look for more information in the River Valley Times as well.

So mark your calendars in advance and hold that date. It should be great fun for everyone.

We at the Parks and Recreation Council for Wilton Area 4-b are excited about doing this again and look forward to your support and participation in this Holiday Festival for Wilton.
